Technica Guss make Horizontal continuous casting line is capable of casting strip of maximum width 450mm and coil weight of 7 Kg / mm width. The horizontal continuous casting line ensures high degree of homogeneity and repeatability in as cast quality. The close control on process parameters and rigid control on quality of input raw material required in horizontal continuous casting ultimately results in a good consistent product which has close tolerance in chemistry, high degree of bath cleanliness and freedom from non-metalic inclusions in the matrix of cast metal.

Due to uniform chemistry and cleaner metal, the product behavior in subsequent processing is very uniform and this results in uniform physical properties. This uniformity also results in higher productivity.

The oxidized surface of cast strip is milled on the "Technica" off line milling.
